A NEW MEMBER OF THE FAMILY!

KAMDEN GARRET COOK was born on Aug 28th at 2:45 in the afternoon. He weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 21 inches long. He is now 6 weeks old and weighs 12 lbs.

He was blessed on Sept. 27th. This is his cousin Gretchen. She is a month older and didn't like getting her picture taken. So cute!

Jaida loves giving Kamden kisses!

He looks a little bit like Daddy!

My blood pressure was high at my appointment on the 27th. They told me to go to the hospital to have the baby. The doctor was worried because i was having horrible headaches. We were admitted and they started me on PIT right away. I wanted to try to have a v-back since I had a c-section with Jaida. After 27 hours I was not progressing and decided to do another c-section. He was 3 weeks early and was in the NICU for a day. He was huge compared to the other tiny babies in there. He's doing very well now. He absolutely loves to eat!

This pic was taken right before we went into the hospital.

SUMMER FUN!

Jaida loves trying on my shoes. It's so cute. I used to do the same thing when I was her age.
Her favorite baby doll. She always wants her to be wrapped up tight.
The Cook family reunion was in Mackay, Idaho this year. We spent some time at the city park so the kids could get some energy our before we went home.
Garret took us for a 4-wheeler ride on the last day of the reunion. Jaida fell asleep in my arms about 2 minutes into it. It was a little bumpy but way fun! I only noticed the bumps because I was 7 months pregnant at the time.
If you can tell, I have a lime in my hand! She made that face every time she licked it, but she kept wanting more.
Jaida and her cousin Mattson. They had so much fun together. He made her smile!
Garret and I went to Boise for a wedding and decided to make a weekend of it. We weren't able to do anything for our anniversary the month before, so we stayed over night and stopped at Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls on the way home.

On the 4th of July we had our Willvie reunion. We just did our own fireworks at the house. It was so fun to be with everyone. Jaida loved the sparkler even though you can't tell by the expression on her face.
Jaida with Sadie and Hattie on the blanket.d
We made a home-made slip and slide in the yard. Jaida jumped right in with the boys and slid down the slide. You would never know how daring she is by her personslity, but she really takes chances.

I had to get a picture of this little mess before I made her clean it up.

SPRING TIME!

This picture was taken in the first part of June. Garret's sister Kasey and brother Matt came to visit for a few days. We all went to watch Jordan play baseball on the BYU-I campus. Jaida and her cousin Aidan played the whole time. Thanks for being so sweet to her, Aidan.
Jaida got that guitar on all by herself. I watched the whole thing thinking she would ask for help, but she never did. She wouldn't take it off for quite a while. Daddy's little girl!
Swinging at our apartment complex.
Aidan brought his scooter from home and Jaida had to try it out. She was only 14 months at the time. She figured it out by just watching Aidan do it. Pretty cute!
Playing in the yard at my parent's home.
Elder Dayne Ivie
Feeding the geese at the green belt in Idaho Falls. Jaida loved it but kept her distance.

Taking advantage of the nice weather at the Cook's in Shelley.

Jaida's such a girl. If it has straps, it's a purse.
Easter Sunday!
Jaida's birthday on March 6th. I happened to turn 30 the day before. It kinda took the sting out of it to be able to celebrate Jaida's 1st.

Just posing. . . A rare smile caught on camera!

Happy New Year!

This past year has been an amazing one for me. I have been blessed beyond measure! This little angel has taught me so much about life and love, and I am so grateful to be her mother.

This picture isn't very clear, but it's so cute! We just got home from church, and she was so happy for some reason. That's a mighty cute set of teeth! She's very proud of them.

On New Year's Day, my family went to my parents house to get together. My Grandma Boyer was there, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a picture of the four of us. She just turned 90 this past year. She's truly an inspiration to me. I love you, Grandma.
On New Year's Eve, Garret's family went up to Island Park to stay with his grandma. We took the opportunity to go cross county skiing and witness some of the breathtaking scenery. It was so fun. Jaida stayed with her Grandpa Cook, and the rest of the kids went with us in sleds. Thanks grandma for letting us stay. We love you!

Jaida and her cousin, Avery, with matching Jammies. So cute!

So the other day, Garret had a bag of chips sitting out on the coffee table. He went in to the kitchen to get something, and when he came back Jaida had found the bag and was eating out of it like she had done it a hundred times (she's never had anything like that before). The tv was on, and she barely took her eyes off of it when she'd reach in and pull out a huge chip. It was so hillarious. She looked at me like 'these are pretty good, mom, but nothing special'.

Jaida and her cousin, Mattson. What a sweet little boy!

CHRISTMAS MORNING....she loved her new book, but she loved the boxes and paper even more!

Daddy's Girl!

CHRISTMAS EVE.....Jaida's holding pipe cleaners with bells on them. She used them very appropriately during the singing of "Jingle Bells". Good job, honey.

Jaida and her cousin, Aidan. They were very cute together. It was so fun to have all of Garret's siblings here for Christmas. We love you all!

Jaida's toothy grin.
