The day Kasen turned 3 weeks old I was sick to my stomach knowing that I hadn't had any newborn pictures taken of him. I had taken snapshots but nothing posed or professional. He is such a sweet baby, and I wanted to capture that on camera. I feel much better now that I have these and can always be reminded of how tiny and precious he was. I'm definitely not a professional, but I think they'll do!

In June, Jaida was able to attend a "Princess Dance Camp" with her cousins Abby and Aisha. I was nervous to sign her up because I didn't know how she would do. I don't know what I was worried about because she absolutely loved it! She was so obedient, observant, and sweet. It was probably the cutest thing I had ever seen. I had taught dance to girls her age before, but I never experienced it from a mother's point of view. I was so proud of her for trying everything and minding her teacher so well. It was good for me to see how she responds to someone other than her parents. She attended class every day from Tuesday to Friday and then had a performance on Saturday morning for the parents and families. Garret had been working out of town for the past few weeks, and he wasn't supposed to be back until that next Monday. He was so sad that he was going to miss her first dance performance. Saturday morning was hurried and crazy, and when I pulled up to the studio, I almost didn't see Garret standing there waiting for us. He had driven through the night from North Dakota to Rexburg and made it there with 5 minutes to spare. I couldn't believe he surprised us like that. I have never loved him more than I did at that moment. He truly is an amazing father to that little girl and those little boys. We love him with all of our hearts.
Learning first position!

She loved getting ready each day with a different leotard and skirt. She basically lived in leo's that week and didn't want to take them off!
At the performance with Abby and Aisha.
Jaida's in the middle front. I love that you can see all the parents in the background with their cameras.

My cousin Ashleigh and her sweet family stopped by to see us one day in June. They live in Arizona, so we don't see each other very often. I love you, Ash. Thanks for the visit!
Garret was home for a week before he had to go back to work, so we took advantage of the nice weather and went to Rigby Lake and the splash park in Rexburg.

New sun glasses are the best!
They love their "baby son"!

We decided we needed to bless Kasen before Garret went back to work. When we called the Bishop to ask if we could bless him that next Sunday, we were asked if we could speak that day as well. It was very stressful to do both on the same day, but I'm grateful that all of our family could hear us speak. They are all so supportive, and we appreciate the sacrifices they made to be there. It was a great and spiritual day!

Our little angel son

I must be missing you because I am crying like a wee babe! Oh Nat, everything from Kasen's pictures, to Jaida dancing, to your adorable family pictures. Also there is something to be said about a woman looking so beautiful after having a baby! You are glowing and such an example to me. I am so grateful to look at your blog and share your greatest moments with you. I wish we could see you before you head to Washington, but I am not as lucky this time around. I look forward to more pictures and wish you all the best in getting ready for your new adventure! I love you with all my heart!

That is funny that Nicole said she is crying like a baby, because I am too! I love your blog entry. I think maybe I am so emotional because I see Jaida growing up and getting big and it just reminds me of how quickly they grow up. I love the dance pics of Jaida. She is just like you Nat. And I love the new born pics too! You did such a good job. I also love the story of Garrett surprising you guys. What an awesome guy you have. It was so fun to see you and your little fam. Love you so much!

Oh what a great post! Everything about it made me happy. Garret's surprise (which almost made me cry), Jaida's cute little body in all her outfits, your boys (are you sure jack and kamden aren't twins?) and Kasen's blessing day...that pic of all 3 of your kids on the couch is so sweet. We absolutely can't wait for the reunion...thanks for sharing your family!
